First on the list is the Red Fort. This Mughal-era structure is a sight to behold, and houses some of India’s most iconic monuments such as the Diwan-i-Khas, Rang Mahal, and Diwan-i-Aam. Stroll through history as you explore this marvelous building, and take in its intricate architecture.

Next on the list is Humayun’s Tomb. Built by Mughal emperor Humayun’s widow in 1570, this magnificent structure was the first example of Mughal architecture in India. Its Islamic style is beautifully decorated with colorful tile work and intricate carvings, making it one of Delhi’s most captivating attractions.

Humayun's tomb is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Delhi. The tomb was built in the 16th century and is a fine example of Mughal architecture. It is said to be the inspiration for the Taj Mahal. The tomb complex also includes a mosque and a guest house.

The garden complex at Humayun’s tomb is laid out in the style of traditional Mughal gardens, and consists of four main parts: a Charbagh (a four-quartered garden), water channels, pathways and pavilions. The main gateway to the tomb is decorated with red sandstone and white marble.

The interior of the tomb is spectacularly designed and decorated, with intricate carvings, calligraphy and inscriptions. The central chamber houses the cenotaphs of Humayun (the great Mughal emperor who died in 1556) and his wife. There are several other tombs within the complex that belong to various members of Humayun’s family.

Humayun’s Tomb is one of Delhi’s most popular tourist attractions, visited by thousands every year. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an important part of India’s cultural heritage.
Lodhi-Garden

Lodhi Gardens

Lodhi Gardens is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Delhi. It is a beautiful green space that covers more than 90 acres. The gardens are home to several historical monuments, including the tomb of Muhammad Shah Sayyid and the tomb of Sikandar Lodi.

The Qutub Minar is a minaret that forms part of the Qutb complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Mehrauli area of Delhi, India. The complex includes the ruins of Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque, and the Iron Pillar of Delhi. The Qutub Minar is named after Qutb ud-Din Aibak, the first Muslim ruler of Delhi and its construction began during his reign in 1192.

Standing at a height of 73 metres (240 feet), the Qutub Minar is the tallest brick minaret in the world and is adorned with intricate carvings and inscriptions. It is believed that the tower was originally built as a victory monument to commemorate Aibak’s victory over Rajputana.

The five storeys of the Qutub Minar are decorated with alternating projections and recesses and are surrounded by a spiralling staircase with 379 steps. The first three storeys are made of red sandstone while the last two storeys are made of marble and white sandstone.

The topmost storey houses a small chamber which offers stunning views of Delhi from its windows. Visitors can also spot various birds nesting on ledges on the sides of the tower.
