Introduction to Brussels Airlines

Brussels Airlines is an airline based in Belgium that offers both domestic and international flights. The airline was founded in 2002 and is a member of the Star Alliance. Brussels Airlines has its primary hub at Brussels Airport, with a secondary base at Liege Airport. The airline flies to over 90 destinations in more than 30 countries.

Brussels Airlines is known for its high-quality service and its modern fleet of aircraft. The airline has been awarded the Skytrax 5-star rating for quality and service.

Brussels Airlines is also a member of the Association of European Airlines (AEA) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

History of Brussels Airlines

Brussels Airlines has a long and rich history, dating back to the early days of commercial aviation. The airline was founded in 1923 as SNETA (Societé Nationale pour l'Etude des Transports Aériens), making it one of the oldest airlines in the world.

In its early years, SNETA operated a small fleet of seaplanes that linked Belgium's coastal cities with London. In 1930, the airline began operating its first land-based aircraft, and by the mid-1930s it had a network of routes across Europe.

During World War II, Brussels Airlines was forced to suspend operations. However, the airline resumed flying after the war and quickly rebuilt its network. In 1954, Brussels Airlines became a founding member of SABENA (Société Anonyme Belge de Navigation Aérienne), Belgium's national flag carrier.

Destinations Served by Brussels Airlines

Brussels Airlines operates flights to over 100 destinations in more than 50 countries. The airline's main hub is Brussels Airport, and it has a significant presence at Belgium's other airports in Antwerp and Charleroi.

The airline flies to several destinations in Europe, including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Dublin, London, Madrid, Paris, and Zurich. It also serves a number of cities in Africa, including Abidjan, Dakar, Kinshasa, Lagos, and Nairobi. In addition, Brussels Airlines offers service to a handful of destinations in the Middle East and North America.

In-Flight Experience with Brussels Airlines

When it comes to flying, few things are as important as the in-flight experience. After all, this is the time when you're actually sitting in your seat, enjoying (or not) the view out the window, and getting to know your fellow passengers. That's why I was curious to see what Brussels Airlines had to offer on my recent flight from Brussels to Paris.

I was quite impressed with the airline's in-flight offerings. The seats were comfortable and there was plenty of legroom. I didn't feel cramped at all, even though I'm 6'2". The food was also quite good, especially for an airline meal. I had a chicken wrap that was both tasty and filling.

The in-flight entertainment options were also good. There was a wide selection of movies and TV shows to choose from, and I ended up watching two episodes of a show I'd been meaning to catch up on. The only downside was that the screens were a bit small, but that's a minor complaint.
